Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Flex Mall Center in Irvine, CA to provide reliable security at a busy retail center with flexible, dependable hours. This part-time Enhanced role offers a fixed anchor shift plus the Earn‑A‑Shift program to pick up extra hours and improve earnings.

Requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 20 pounds, and successful background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking facilities, exterior walkways, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations; document incidents and complete required reports accurately and promptly.
• Assist with access control, customer directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and communication with site management, retail staff, and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Patrol Flex Mall Center in Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat09:00 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
