Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Government Building in Irvine, CA. You will provide customer service, monitor premises, conduct patrols, and support access control.

This role offers a Part Time / Overnight shift and a pay rate of $24.50 per hour, with a schedule that includes nights. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of security-related experience, a high school diploma, CPR preferred, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including monitoring for unusual activity and reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control by verifying authorized entry, monitoring visitor activity, and documenting security-related events as required.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and promptly communicate incidents, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
