As a Security Officer Part Time Lobby Services in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri04:30 PM - 08:30 PMSat09:30 AM - 08:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, contractors, employees, and vendors; verifying authorization; and following site-specific access procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, visitor logs, access control systems, and other assigned security-related equipment in accordance with site policies.
• Issue visitor credentials, maintain accurate entry records, and direct guests to appropriate areas while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Support security-related procedures for a technology, media, and telecommunications location, including receiving deliveries, managing access requests, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
