Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner; notify site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site policies.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Weekend in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri12:30 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:30 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies; assist with directing visitors and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
