Allied Universal, a leading security services provider, is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time patrol role at our Austin, TX site. The position offers fixed anchor shifts with optional additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings while keeping a dependable base schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include customer service experience and a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused site by following site-specific procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify hazards and maintenance needs.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized access as required.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, documenting actions per site policy.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift communications to support a professional environment.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Manufacturing Facility in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
