As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with security-related situations involving patients, visitors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a behavioral health care location.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and requesting additional support as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, maintaining professional communication and supporting a respectful environment for patients and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
