Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a behavioral health care location.
• Respond to incidents, patient-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, trauma-informed, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Assist with monitoring entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas; report unusual conditions, incidents, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with staff, patients, visitors, and responding public-service personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
