Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Wilmington, DE site. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You’ll greet tenants and visitors, verify credentials, issue passes, and respond to incidents per location procedures. The position supports a part-time schedule with potential growth toward full-time hours, and requires customer service aptitude, basic tech comfort, and compliance

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage visitor access at the front desk, including greeting guests, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining required entry records.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and communicate with building personnel, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access-control systems, cameras, alarms, and other security-related equipment, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.

Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Fri 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
