Job summary

Allied Universal in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible coverage at an assigned site. This role allows earning more via the “Earn More, Claim-A-Shift” program and anchoring a fixed shift with six-month commitment.

The position offers a $16.37 per hour pay rate, with opportunities to pick up extra shifts and advance through paid training programs. It aims to balance income stability with career growth in security services.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patrons, employees, and contractors at transportation-related parking facilities by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, parking facility entrances and exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials and authorize entry in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, parking-related disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking areas, garages, offices, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, incident reports, and access control documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and responding agencies.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Operations in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.37 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
