Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Enhanced Part Time Security Officer at our New Castle, DE site. This role offers fixed hours with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, while supporting a secure environment for clients and staff.

The position requires an armed guard card, 2+ years in security, and a high school diploma. You will monitor access points, perform procedures, and respond to incidents with professional judgment.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Access Control in New Castle, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor and contractor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing access‑control conditions and reporting irregularities. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
