Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Madera, CA to monitor and protect clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will help deter incidents, provide customer service, and maintain a visible security presence throughout your shift.

Responsibilities include unarmed patrols, access control, log and report incidents, and respond calmly to alarms per established procedures. This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform and the chance to grow

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Assist with traffic flow and access control for deliveries, employee vehicles, and contractors while maintaining a professional presence in changing industrial working environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
