Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Entry Control Security Officer in Pittsburgh, PA. You will serve and safeguard clients across healthcare locations, manage access points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $15.95 / Hour. Schedule includes DayTime slots with shifts 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, greeting and directing visitors, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining required access logs.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
