Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Reading, PA. You will support entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and patrol to deter incidents, while delivering outstanding customer service.

This position offers a flexible schedule with the Claim a Shift platform. Candidates should have at least one year of security experience, be 18+ (21+ for armed positions), and be prepared

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.90 / Hour

• Security Experience:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate access-related concerns, unusual activity, and site policy violations to appropriate personnel and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
