Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Pittsburgh, PA. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling you to earn more while gaining experience across sites.

Pay rate is $17.51 per hour with a schedule of Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM. The position emphasizes flexibility, income stability, and potential progression toward full-time roles within a leading security

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, airport-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, badges, and authorization for entry into restricted areas of the transportation facility.
• Control access to designated areas by following established visitor management, key control, and access badge procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, terminal areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
