As a Security Officer Part Time Entry Authorization in Lakewood, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at the community entrance, verify authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate entry and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Help maintain a professional, welcoming presence while supporting access-control procedures and reporting unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
