Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Authorization in Franklin Lakes, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access-related concerns, alarms, and medical facility emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, vendors, and visitors while supporting a controlled and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
