Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a busy Boise distribution center. You will manage access control, observe entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain secure conditions for employees and visitors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a people-first culture in a dynamic logistics environment. The position offers part-time hours with a schedule on Saturdays and Sundays, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and a pay rate of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees while following access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and manage visitor/driver access per site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of the business, perimeter, parking, and loading areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs and incident reports, communicating professionally with personnel and leadership.

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, manage visitor and driver access, and document access-related activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading or receiving zones, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
