Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time Logistics Center in Boise, ID to monitor access points, verify credentials, and deter security incidents at a busy logistics site.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees, manage records for visitors and vehicles, and respond calmly to incidents following site procedures and escalation paths.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit for people and vehicles.
• Maintain visitor, contractor and vehicle activity records per site procedures and issue/collect access credentials.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly, escalating through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations and perimeter.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and control entry and exit for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity records in accordance with site procedures; issue and collect access credentials as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
