Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, crew members, visitors, and port personnel while carrying out screening procedures and site policies.
• Screen individuals, baggage, packages, and other items entering designated areas per procedures.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized entry through screening and credential verification.
• Respond to incidents and prohibited-item findings calmly, following emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and surrounding perimeter as directed.

As a Security Officer Part Time Customer Screening in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, crew members, visitors, and/or port personnel while carrying out security‑related screening procedures and site‑specific policies.
• Screen individuals, baggage, packages, and/or other items entering designated cruise operations areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas through professional screening and credential verification activities.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited‑item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter locations as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
