This role offers a pay rate of $19.61 per hour and a six‑month anchor shift with the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to increase earnings across sites.

• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Identity Screening in York, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

  • All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for communication and task management.
  • Emails should be composed using standard email clients and should adhere to the formatting and etiquette guidelines outlined in this policy.
  • Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with basic computer functions, including but not limited to, email composition, attachment handling, and calendar management.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

  • Candidates should highlight any relevant customer service experience in their email communications.
  • Emails should reflect a customer‑centric approach, showcasing professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
  • Responses to inquiries should be timely and informative, demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including delivery drivers and vendors, in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
