Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at our Montgomery, AL location. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $14.80 per hour, with a path to full-time roles through paid training and advancement. Ideal candidates are 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), have a high school diploma or equivalent, and are willing to undergo background checks and drug screening

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and personnel while following security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering and exiting the site per procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections with accurate records and reports.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and escalate as per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Operations in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:30 AM - 09:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct package, vehicle, and/or personnel inspections as assigned while maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
