Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer (Credential Screening) in Wichita, KS to screen visitors and belongings, monitor access points, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment. Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicant will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access screening protocols.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering designated areas using established screening equipment and procedures, escalating irregularities according to site policy.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery credentials while maintaining accurate entry, screening, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
