Allied Universal, based in Kansas City, KS, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Screening Analyst to screen visitors, monitor access points, and deliver excellent customer service. As a Screener, you will help deter incidents, support responses to security concerns, and maintain welcoming operations across a Tech/Media/Telecom landscape.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and screening protocols.
• Screen visitors, deliveries, and contractors; verify credentials, direct to locations, and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas as site conditions require.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established entry requirements; verify credentials, direct individuals to appropriate locations, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, business locations, and perimeter areas, as site conditions require.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
