Allied Universal in Kansas City, KS seeks a Security Officer Full Time Screening Officer to support access screening operations at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.

This role requires 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and possible state licenses.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with access-control requirements and established site procedures.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, appointments, and authorization before allowing access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, and incident records and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Officer in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a leading technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support access screening operations, monitor entry points, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and maintain a visible, professional presence. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
