Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring access, screening visitors and personnel, and communicating professionally with diverse stakeholders. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help identify and report security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; verify identification, confirm authorization, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership and or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the business perimeter; document observations, incidents, and completed activities in required reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
