Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Kansas City, KS to screen individuals and materials, monitor access points, and maintain a welcoming environment. Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic location while following site-specific security procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and materials entering the location per access-control requirements and screening protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry and direct individuals to check-in points; report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to emergency procedures and with clear communication to relevant personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and materials entering the location in accordance with access-control requirements and established screening protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry; direct individuals to appropriate check-in points and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
