Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verify credentials and maintain visitor/contractor records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts or emergency personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas and business perimeter to deter unauthorised access.
• Complete required logs, reports, and shift communications accurately, documenting activity and observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Enrollment in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Complete required logs, reports, and shift communications accurately, documenting access‑control activity, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
