Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of parking areas, walkways, entrances and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.37 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 12:00 AM - 05:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, motorists, employees, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation parking location.
• Monitor access points, parking facility entrances and exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, parking-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking areas, pedestrian walkways, facility entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-related records while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
