Job summary

Allied Universal Milpitas, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time CPR Ready Patrol) to protect clients across tech/media/telecom sectors. You will patrol, deter incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment while coordinating with teammates and using our shift-claim platform.

Pay is $25.00 per hour with day and weekend shifts. Minimum requirements include 1 year security experience, ability to use a computer or tablet, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by employer.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and direct individuals as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, report documentation.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns and security issues while maintaining professional presence.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to reliable service through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach with Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, unauthorized activity, and other security-related issues while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
