Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to safeguard clients across tech/office environments. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor access, and deliver courteous customer service to employees and visitors.

The role offers a flexible daytime schedule with shifts such as Tue/Wed/Thu 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. A guard card or license is preferred; CPR/First Aid and badge experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.
• Guard card or license preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
