Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Vance, AL. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts at an automotive facility with the option to earn more by taking extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will perform security procedures, monitor access, and respond to incidents while helping maintain a safe environment. A high school diploma is required, and a background check will be conducted; CPR is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Computer Access Patrol in Vance, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, vehicle storage areas, service departments, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by reporting hazards, damaged property, unauthorized vehicles, and other security‑related concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
