Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and site conditions and document observations and incidents.
• Support a welcoming environment for services, events, and daily operations while following guidelines.

As a Security Officer Part Time Cemetery Patrol in Culver City, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and site conditions in accordance with established procedures, documenting observations and incidents accurately.
• Support a welcoming environment for services, events, and daily operations while maintaining professional conduct and following Allied Universal and site‑specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
