Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Indianapolis, IN to help safeguard clients and maintain a secure environment. The role includes screening, access control, responding to incidents, patrolling, and delivering excellent customer service on a scheduled evenings/weekend roster (Wed/Thu/Sun 2–10 PM).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and personal property in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, facility access points, business operations, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
