• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and document security observations.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related access authorizations, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers, and personnel in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and unauthorized removal of property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting security-related observations and reporting concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Prior experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
