Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Orlando, FL to deter security incidents and protect people and property. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, document activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

This role requires a minimum of 6 months in security, plus a valid Guard Card or license if applicable. Flexible schedule with weekend shifts available. Background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter to identify and report concerns.

• Prepare clear reports of patrols, incidents, and observations for supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity when required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
