Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at entry points and follow site-specific security procedures.

• Screen and direct drivers, visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site rules.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents and escalate per procedure.
• Conduct patrols to deter unauthorized activity around entry points and perimeter.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access records.
• Screen and direct drivers, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements and established traffic-flow procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
