Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Bearden, AR to provide customer service, monitor access points, and manage visitor credentials. You will support a secure environment for employees and visitors at an industrial location, working Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to grow within a leading security company, with access to our shift-claim platform and comprehensive training.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control access to restricted production, warehouse, loading dock, and administrative areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, building exteriors, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
