Job summary

Allied Universal in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with badge access responsibilities. You will manage access control, greet visitors, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers a flexible schedule with shifts including evenings and weekends, training opportunities, and a pathway to growth within a national security services company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify identification and maintain required visitor records.
• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter, as assigned.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
