Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part Time Security Officer specialized in armed patrol credential support. You will conduct routine armed patrols at a financial institution, monitor access points, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns with professional communication and integrity.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training required.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.

• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, members, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking areas, ATM locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the location, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
