Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel per site access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue temporary access credentials, maintain access records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access and direct authorized personnel to correct locations.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and escalations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, communicate entry requirements, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
