Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Access Control Officer in West Point, VA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access to support a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial site.

You will provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, maintain records, and respond to incidents as part of a collaborative security team. This role offers flexible scheduling through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial site.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, and issue visitor credentials.
• Maintain entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access areas to deter unauthorized entry.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Sat 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, the business, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with directing visitor, contractor, and vehicle traffic while supporting compliance with facility access requirements and reporting unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
