Job summary

Allied Universal in Richardson, TX is seeking a Part-Time Access Control Security Officer to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an industrial site. You will perform regular patrols, respond calmly to incidents, and maintain accurate access records while complying with site policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain access records.
• Screen and direct visitors and vendors per procedures, coordinating with site contacts as needed.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, escalating per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and report security concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial manufacturing location, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with established procedures, coordinating with site contacts when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
