Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Orange, CA to manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor entry points while delivering excellent customer service. The role offers a flexible schedule (DayTime Sat 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Sun 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and the chance to work with a leading security team.

Applicants should have at least one year of security experience, be comfortable with computers, and meet licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following established entry and exit procedures.
• Monitor access points, vehicle traffic, deliveries, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

What You’ll Do

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
