Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Driver in Castle Hayne, NC. You will monitor campus areas, deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while carrying out site procedures.

This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and a flexible schedule, with Sat/Sun 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. You’ll respond to alarms and incidents, complete clear reports, and maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screening required by policy.
• License requirements may be required for driving positions.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background check.

As an unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate campus personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
