Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations Driver in Castle Hayne, NC. This part-time, unarmed role involves driving a vehicle, patrolling campus areas, and reporting observations while maintaining a courteous, professional presence.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour with a set Daytime schedule on Thursdays and Fridays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A valid driver’s license and at least 6 months of security experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
