Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Operations Driver in Castle Hayne, NC. This role involves unarmed campus patrols, customer service interactions with students, staff, and visitors, and report writing to support campus security. The position offers flexible evening shifts and a pathway to additional shifts using our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

This driving position involves operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy, communicating professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and reporting observations. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
