Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Computer Patrol Driver for Castle Hayne, NC. You will provide customer service, perform campus patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while upholding safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events following emergency procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and logs in accordance with guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
