Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer (Part Time Patrol Driver) in Castle Hayne, NC. You will perform on-site patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and assist with emergency responses while delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.

A valid driver’s license is required to operate patrol vehicles. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting reports, and coordinating with campus personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify campus personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions and security-related incidents.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with campus personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
