Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Permissions Specialist in Charlotte, NC. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and assist with alarm panel activity while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and employees.

This role offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform, with night hours on weekdays and weekends. Prior access-control experience is a plus.

As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and respond to alarm panel activity. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, issue and collect credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Assist with enforcing property access policies and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence and consistent access-control practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
