Responsibilities

• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and security concerns; notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs, visitor records, key or credential issuance documentation, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
